Minutes for four youngsters in latest loan report

There were plenty of minutes for Albion’s youngsters over the weekend as they continued their development in the EFL and National League.

Kane Wilson completed the full fixture for Tranmere Rovers as they boosted their chances of avoiding relegation from Sky Bet League One with a 2-1 win at Accrington Stanley. They’re six points from safety with two games in hand.

It was also a successful Saturday for Alex Palmer, keeping a clean sheet for Plymouth Argyle during a 3-0 triumph over Macclesfield. The result keeps them third in the fourth tier, just inside the automatic promotion places.

Meanwhile it was a mixed afternoon for Callum Morton, who was named Northampton Town’s February player of the month before their game against Mansfield.

The young striker couldn’t prevent his temporary team from a 2-1 defeat, though, and after initially starting the game he came off on 68 minutes with a tight hamstring.

And Nick Clayton-Phillips played the final half-hour of Solihull Moors’ goalless draw at Fylde in the National League. Jimmy Shan’s side remain seventh in the table and still with a good shout of securing a spot in the Play-Offs.
