Gary Megson took Albion on quite the journey during his four-and-a-half years in charge at The Hawthorns.
In his first season Megson managed to guide the Baggies to safety in the second-tier of English football - and the next term his side reached the Play-Offs, only to suffer defeat in the semi-finals against Bolton Wanderers.
Yet the following season Albion would finish second and reach the Premier League for the first time. Despite being relegated, Megson’s men would return to the top-tier immediately, however the Throstles parted ways with Gary in October 2004.
