Coles Lane the new home of Albion Women

Albion Women will play their home games during the 2020/21 season at Sutton Coldfield Town's Coles Lane.

The new partnership will see the Club move from Walsall Wood's grass pitch to Sutton Coldfield Town's 3G pitch, a move which is hoped will see fewer postponements or venue changes due to weather.

For Albion Women General Manager, Dave Lawrence, it's exciting to be somewhere new which will hopefully help the Club to achieve their goals.

"It's a great venue, the pitch is immaculate, it's got everything we need and we feel like it will be a good home for us for next season and beyond," said Dave.

"It was a difficult decision to make as everyone at Walsall Wood had been so caring and accommodating throughout the course of last season, but the move to a 3G pitch is one that will certainly help us in the long-term.

"The environment at Coles Lane is friendly and accommodating and with a growing and developing team that play good football, hopefully this facility and pitch will help us to do that even more," he said.

Albion Women season tickets will be available to purchase for the upcoming season in the FA Women's National League Northern Premier at Coles Lane, and Dave is calling on fans to get out and support the side.

"We're encouraging all fans to buy season tickets when they're available, we'd love to see more people coming to games," said Dave.

"We know that there is an Albion community in Sutton Coldfield and we'd really like those supporters to come to games, but also any other football fans generally who enjoy the beautiful game," he said.

More news on season tickets and individual tickets will be available closer to the start of the season.

Everyone at the Club would like to thank Walsall Wood FC for their accommodation and hospitality during the 2019/20 season.
