Sunderland PL2 v Albion PL2 match report

Albion’s PL2 side made it seven wins from their last nine Premier League 2 Division Two games with a 4-0 victory against Sunderland at the Eppleton Colliery Welfare Ground on Monday night.

A brace from Rayhaan Tulloch and goals from Zak Brown and Finn Azaz capped a commanding performance from the young Baggies.

Albion were dominant from the first whistle; Callum Morton and Tulloch had decent chances before the Baggies did take the lead when an Azaz pass caused chaos in the Sunderland defence, with Brown able to slot home into an empty net from inside the box.

Azaz then played a ball over the top which Morton latched onto and lashed onto the crossbar. However, Albion would double their lead before the break.

Saul Shotton lofted a pass down the wing allowing Morton to find Brown, who picked out Tulloch, and the young winger netted with relative ease.

Immediately after the interval, Tulloch bagged his second following a tidy one-two with Morton. The Baggies played with a freedom in the second half and should have claimed a few more goals before a fourth did eventually come their way.

Peter Taylor started a counter-attack by heading the ball to Tyrese Dyce. With a host of Albion players flying forward he found Azaz who controlled a side-footed effort into the back of the net to round off an impressive win.

ALBION: Griffiths; Meredith, Shotton, Healy, Harmon; Wilding, Azaz; Asomugha, Brown, Tulloch; Morton.

Substitutes: White, Williams, Dyce, Taylor, Solanke.
