Albion Under-18s were unfortunate to fall to a 2-1 defeat against Stoke City at Clayton Wood on Saturday.
The young Baggies were left to rue a collection of missed chances as the hosts made the most of their opportunities to secure all three points.
Sam Knowles gave the Potters the advantage just after half-time, although Albion were back on level terms within minutes.
A Taylor Gardner-Hickman cross from out wide was parried into the path of Jamie Andrews who tucked home from close range to equalise.
Despite a good Albion performance they didn’t reap the rewards for their work and were cruelly undone by a Tom Sparrow goal in the final ten minutes of the game.
ALBION: Boruc; Taylor, Williams, Hill; Gardner-Hickman, Iroegbunam, King (Cleary 88), Andrews, Delaney; Windsor, Gilbert.
Substitutes: Grant, Dwyer, Smith, Teixeira.
