“It was a realisation for me at that time about what I wanted to do going forward after the way the previous season had turned out,” says Jake, who is the latest Baggies star to get the cover treatment from Albion fan and animation-illustrator Liam Harris.
“If I wanted to have the season I wanted, both personally and from a club point of view, I needed to make some changes and I also looked around me and saw the younger lads coming in and thought I had to be a bigger voice. I thought it was time to set an example with a younger squad emerging.”
