Ahmed Hegazi is “very happy” with his progress after returning to training this week.
The Egypt international is back on the grass with his team mates after a summer operation to resolve an ankle problem.
Ahmed played through the end of last season and then served his country valiantly at the AFCON in June and July before undergoing the operation.
But he has shortened his predicted recovery time with typical determination and film of his return to action in training this week drew an ecstatic response from his army of fans both at home and abroad.
“I’m feeling all good,” he reports. “I’m very happy to be back in training and the ankle is feeling fine. There is no date for a return to playing yet but we will see how I progress from here.
“I have come back a little bit quicker than was expected which is good for me. The team is doing well and we just need to keep this momentum going.”
