Signing session proves record-breaking hit with Baggies fans

Albion supporters turned up en masse to enjoy an afternoon to remember at a meet and greet session with Matheus Pereira, Filip Krovinović and Semi Ajayi at the Club Megastore on Tuesday afternoon.

A record number of Baggies fans attended to pose for selfies and get autographs from the Baggies trio, with approximately 1,000 supporters at The Hawthorns outlet.

Albion's summer recruits have been instrumental in the Baggies' impressive start to the season, with all three signings becoming firm fans' favourites.

And that was clearly evident as they stayed for three hours, two hours longer than the advertised slot, to ensure everyone went home happy.

The first supporters arrived to start the queue at 10.50am ahead of a 2.30pm start.

And the Clare family, from Great Barr, were among the first to meet the players, much to the enjoyment of Harry, 16, Oliver, 14, and Edward, 11.

"It was good," beamed young Edward (below) after meeting his heroes. "Pereira is my favourite."

Season ticket holder Bradley Clarke, 13, attended his second-ever club signing session and admitted he was a little nervous to meet the trio.

"Pereira is world class," he added.

However, possibly the youngest fan to attend was two-year-old Beau Boden (below), who was with her father Adam.

The pair spent two hours in the queue and dad said "she loved it", before the junior Baggie celebrated with a boing-boing!

Yet it was not only Albion supporters who were left to reflect on a memorable afternoon.

Matheus, Filip and Semi also thoroughly enjoyed meeting and greeting supporters.

The club would like to thank everyone who attended and waited patiently in the queue to welcome the players to the club!
