A memorable win against Barnsley

Albion met Barnsley on the final day of the 2006/07 season in a unique Hawthorns clash which saw the Baggies ease past the Tykes in fashion.

A Kevin Phillips hat-trick, a Nathan Ellington brace and goals from Robert Koren and Zoltan Gera helped Albion to a 7-0 win on home soil.

Phillips opened the scoring just after the 20 minute mark, kickstarting an enthralling performance from the home side.

Koren was upended in the box, allowing a composed Ellington to stroke home from the penalty spot for Albion's second - before the Baggies forward battled past Barnsley's defence to bag his brace.

Before the break Jonathan Greening surged into the Barnsley box from out wide, with Koren finishing neatly to score his first Albion goal.

Phillips netted before and after the hour mark to wrap up his hat-trick, with Gera also getting his name on the scoresheet with 15 minutes to play.
