Dara O’Shea gets his Maurice Revello Toulon Tournament underway today as Ireland Under-21s take on China Under-22s (ko 2.30pm).
The young central defender was named in Stephen Kenny’s 22-man squad following a successful loan spell at Sky Bet League Two side Exeter City last season.
It’s the first time Ireland have played in the competition since 2002.
After playing China in their Group C opener they face Mexico on Thursday, June 6 and Bahrain on Sunday, June 9.
