Ahmed Hegazi’s Egypt suffered a shock defeat to South Africa in the AFCON Round of 16 on Saturday night.
The Pharaohs were heavy favourites to book a quarter-final spot, but Thembinkosi Lorch struck the only goal of the game with just five minutes left on the clock to hand Bafana Bafana a famous victory in Cairo.
Hegazi, who will join up with his Hawthorns team-mates later this summer, completed the full 90 minutes.
