Education celebration evening 2019

Children, parents and carers came together to celebrate a successful year for our Education pupils at The Hawthorns.

The schoolchildren have excelled within their programmes this academic year and were recognised for their achievements in a memorable evening at Albion’s stadium.

The event caps off a successful year for the Education Department, something to be proud of for the Head of Education at the Foundation, Anna Pincher.

“I’m so proud of the children and what they’ve achieved but also the staff because they really care about what they do with each person they work with,” said Anna.

“It really nicely brings things to a close for this academic year and we can go into next year in a positive way and build on what we’ve achieved this year.

“It’s really good for other pupils to see what we do across the board, as well as parents, teachers and carers to see the breadth of what we do,” she said.

During the evening, Susan Clewley, parent of Matthew, one of the Foundation’s Primary Time-Out success stories, sang the praises of the charity.

“Every single interaction we have had with the Foundation, at whatever level, has been a positive one,” said Susan.

“The staff are motivated, enthusiastic and above all empathetic, taking their time to help each child they can.

“We can't thank you all enough for the support we felt we had from you all when life for Matthew and his future was not so positive,” she said.

Congratulations to all the award winners on what was an evening to remember for everyone.
