'Albion News' named Programme of the Year

"Albion News”, the Club’s historic match day programme, has been named the Championship Programme of the Year by the trade’s leading magazine "Programme Monthly."

Albion’s acclaimed programme was the talk of the trade two seasons ago with its front covers paying homage to classic vinyl album covers.

This season, editor Dave Bowler has used famous movie posters to provide inspiration and the striking imagery has helped win over the competition judges who put "Albion News” ahead of joint second-place QPR and Aston Villa.

In their summary, “Programme Monthly” said: “The Baggies have absolutely nailed it with this stunning programme, which shows exactly what can be done when you use all the available space with thought provoking, intelligently written and entertaining articles. A superb programme from start to finish”.

Dave paid tribute to his team of helpers saying: "We are indebted to our designer Karl Wheeler at Blue Chilli and Stuart Curtis at Curtis-Sport for their hard work in putting the programme together and to Dave Prest and his sellers for putting it in your hands on match day.”

Don’t forget to pick up a copy on Saturday for an in depth interview with Chris Brunt, columns from Darren Moore and Tony Brown, an in depth look at Tony Pulis’ Middlesbrough - and Sam Johnstone recreating the “Die Hard” movie poster! All for £3.50, the best value in the Championship.
