Slav will not let us rest on our laurels - HRK

Hal Robson-Kanu insists Baggies boss Slaven Bilić will not allow his in-form side to rest on their laurels.

Albion extended their unbeaten home run to 16 fixtures on Sunday with the Welshman netting his sixth goal in nine games as the Baggies put Swansea to the sword with a 5-1 win.

And Robson-Kanu believes over-confidence will not be an issue for Bilić’s table-topping side.

“I think it is up there with one of our best performances of the season,” admitted Hal. “We want to keep building on what we are doing.

“There is more in the tank and if we can apply ourselves for 90 minutes, we are definitely going to hurt teams. It is about maintaining that now and kicking on in the league.

“Confidence is high. Everyone is working hard and we are back on the training pitch tomorrow preparing for the next game. It has been relentless like that from the first day of pre-season.

“The manager is not going to let us rest on our laurels. We have got to keep the momentum, keep the pace, and keep setting it too.”

On his impressive form in front of goal, Hal added: “I am getting into good positions but more importantly the ball is coming to me which is nice. It is an unbelievable ball from Matheus again today. One-on-one with the ‘keeper I back myself.

“The defenders were coming in quite quick for my goal and it was just about getting the first touch right and putting it in the corner as I did.

“Goals change games and we worked hard to get the two-goal lead, then they came back into it so it could have been a nervy time but I think that’s when we showed our quality and that is what we have got in the team.”
