Goalscorer Jake on ‘fantastic’ Rovers comeback

Jake Livermore was delighted for his teammates after Albion’s 3-2 win over Blackburn Rovers, and says he “doesn’t care who scores” as long as they’re winning matches.

The midfielder hammered home the second goal of the afternoon, his first of the season, to help the Baggies on to their first Hawthorns victory of a so-far-unbeaten 2019/20 campaign.

And despite not being bothered about finding the back of the net, Jake was just pleased to see his side claim all three points.

“It’s always good. The boys were fantastic I thought,” he said.

“I don’t care who scores to be honest. I don’t care if the manager comes on and scores as long as we get three points!

“We are one team, one scorer. You can see that how we celebrate. It’s irrelevant who scores.

“On the whole we’re a new team and I think we’ve done well to gel. Week-in, week-out we’ve tried our best to get those little relationships all over the park.

“We played some good stuff today but I think all season we’ve had spells of being really good. The manager’s got us a solid platform but the boys can go and express themselves from there.

“We’ve got confidence going forward into the break and hopefully we pick up where we left off today.”
