Matheus Pereira says he will do “everything within my power” to help his team-mates deliver Albion’s ambition of promotion.
The 23-year-old Brazilian joined on a season-long loan from Sporting Lisbon on deadline day, with a view to a permanent deal.
And the right-footed winger says his arrival at The Hawthorns is a “huge moment” in his fledgling career.
“I’m delighted to be here,” he said. “It is a huge moment in my career.
“I’m excited about the project and the club’s ambition for the season.
“I want to do everything I physically can to help the club win promotion.
“I can’t wait to get started.”
When asked about what type of player Albion fans can expect to see he remained coy, adding: “I don’t really like to talk much about myself.
What I will say is that my team-mates, the club, the fans, the board - who have made a tremendous effort to get me here - can expect a determined, committed player.
“I will offer everything the club needs on and off the pitch. The club has my full support and I will do everything within my power to help my team-mates.”
