Stoke City U18s 4 Albion U18s 2

Albion’s youngsters were beaten 4-2 by Stoke City in the U18 Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The Potters raced into a two goal lead, with Adam Porter and Patrick Jarrett both getting on the scoresheet.

However, the Baggies would get a foothold in the game just before the break when Finley Thorndike converted from the spot to half the deficit for Albion.

After the restart Stoke reasserted their dominance; Mohamed Sankoh scored for the Potters just before the hour, and Jarrett bagged his second just after it.

Tom Fellows, who was making his first start for Albion Under-18s, scored with just under 15 minutes to play but it proved to do little to change the outcome of the game.

ALBION: Cann, Gardner-Hickman, H Williams, Hill, Delaney; Smith (R Williams 82), King, Malcolm; Gilbert; Wakeling, Thorndike (Fellows 63).

Substitutions: Griffiths, Taylor, Teixeira.
