‘Winning breeds confidence’ - Bartley

KYLE Bartley hopes Albion can build on home momentum when Darren Moore’s men host Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday (ko 8pm).

Saturday’s 2-0 triumph over Millwall means the Baggies have now claimed six successive victories in all competitions at The Hawthorns - their best run of form on home turf since 2010.

But former boss Roy Hodgson returns to his old stomping ground with an Eagles side boasting three wins from four away days this term.

And Bartley admits welcoming Premier League opposition to the Black Country will be a “big test” for Albion as they look to advance to Round Four.

“Six wins on the bounce at home is brilliant,” said Kyle.

“Tuesday will be a big test, but I think we’re making this place a bit of a fortress.

“The Carabao Cup is a great competition for us to try to keep the momentum that we’ve got and utilise the squad.

“Winning breeds confidence, that’s true, there’s no better feeling in football than winning and the that confidence that brings you is massive.

“Hopefully we can get another win on Tuesday and keep that run going.

“Palace have some outstanding players and that’s why they’re playing at the top level.

“We’ll all be ready and we’ll all be up for the test and hopefully we can produce a good performance.”
