Last-gasp strike wins it for Albion

WBA Women secured a dramatic 4-3 victory at The New Saints Ladies in the FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands on Sunday.

The Baggies made it nine points from nine after winning a seven-goal thriller to maintain their unbeaten league start to the season.

Keeley Davies put Albion two-goals ahead with a brace inside twenty minutes as the Baggies ran riot in the opening stages.

Harriet James increased Albion's advantage even further with a third on the half-hour mark, before a quick-fire double from the hosts reduced the deficit to 3-2 just before the break.

In the Second half the Baggies were reduced to ten players when Antonia Smith was given her marching orders, before the home side levelled proceedings in the 70th minute.

Nicole Dale was also sent off in a frantic final few minutes, but that didn't stop Albion's nine remaining players pushing for a last gasp winner which duly arrived courtesy of an own goal.

ALBION: Field, Jewitt, George (c), Orthodoxou, H.Price (Smith 60), Sinclair, Murray, Bevan, James (Reid 83), K.Davies, Henry (Dale 67).

Subs: Howard, Murphy.
