Barnes praises confidence-booster Moore

SCINTILLATING Harvey Barnes says he already owes a debt of gratitude to confidence-booster Darren Moore.

The on-loan attacker played a pivotal role in Albion’s 4-2 victory over Bristol City, assisting Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriguez, before netting a second-half stunner to secure all three points at The Hawthorns.

And Barnes is confident his gaffer knows how to get the best out of him.

“I’m enjoying my football, you can see that out on the pitch with the attacking football we’re playing, it’s really exciting,” he said.

“We always look a threat going forward and are results show that.

“Before the game it’s just about giving the players confidence and the gaffer gives me a lot of confidence.

“We talk about going forward and we discuss my defensive roles as well.

“I know when I get the ball that he’s got the confidence in me for me to go and create stuff. I know that other players will create stuff for me as well.

“It’s really good to know that confidence throughout the team is high.

“I think he’s a great man-manager and he gets the boys going before every game.

“You know what you’re going to get from him every game and I think that shows on the pitch.

“We know what we’ve got to do for him and he knows what he’s got to do for us to get the best out of us.”
