Baggies hit eight to go top

AWESOME Albion secured their fourth consecutive win in a superb 8-0 triumph over Solihull Moors Ladies to go top of the FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands.

Despite the Baggies dominating the first half in front of a packed crowd at Boldmere St Michael's, they could not find a breakthrough against a stubborn Solihull outfit.

Yet after the break Louis Sowe's side turned on the style with Keeley Davies hitting four to take her tally to seven for the season.

Fran Orthodoxou and Rachael Howard were also on the scoresheet for the Baggies alongside Natalie Murray and substitute Gabbie Reid who grabbed her first goal for the club since signing from Leicester City Women.

ALBION: Nelson, Jewitt (Dale), George (c), Bevan (Reid), Orthodoxou, Sinclair, Murray, L. Davies, James (Smith), K. Davies, Howard.

Subs: H. Price, Henry.

Albion are back in FA Women's National League Division One Midlands action away to Steel City Wanderers this Sunday, September 16 (ko 2.00pm).
