LOCAL children had a day to remember as they were paid a visit by first-team stars.

The youngsters' October half-terms were made memorable as they were able to have a kickabout with their heroes and have memorabilia signed.

Highlights from the appearances included Kyle Edwards and Jonathan Leko visiting Redhill School, while Craig Dawson and Matty Phillips headed to Sandwell Academy to meet the schoolchildren.

Conor Townsend and Oliver Burke attended the Foundation's Boldmere Camp to take part in football sessions and fielded questions from the young footballers.

Ahmed Hegazi and Boaz Myhill were present at Portway Lifestyle Centre to meet participants at the charity's Disability Camp and Hal Robson-Kanu went with Rekeem Harper to take in a Kicks competition and present trophies to the winners.

Tyrone Mears and Jonathan Bond went back to school as they headed to Moat Farm and spent the afternoon with the young football fans.
