Brunt ready to ‘put it right’

CHRIS Brunt says it’s important Albion make amends for today’s 1-0 defeat at Wigan and “put it right” at The Hawthorns.

The Baggies leave the DW Stadium frustrated by a Latics side who have not lost on home turf since February.

Albion will now quickly turn their attention to a Hawthorns double-header, with Derby County in town on Wednesday before Saturday’s home clash with Blackburn Rovers.

And Brunt admits he will not forget the 3,750 fans who made the trip to Lancashire while he prepares for two more Sky Bet Championship fixtures.

“It’s particularly disappointing with the fans having come up here in such good numbers,” said the the club skipper.

“They’ve not seen us not score on too many occasions, that just hasn’t happened to us very often this season.

“They always bring good numbers up here so it’s disappointing that we weren’t able to send them down the road with something.

“We’ve got two games in quick succession now to put it right so it’s up to us to do that."
