'We showed what we're about' - Harvey

HARVEY Barnes says the 4-1 demolition of Leeds United was exactly the message Albion wanted to send as they recovered from a four-game winless sequence in style.

Four second-half goals put one of the leading Sky Bet Championship sides to the sword on an electric evening at The Hawthorns.

"It's got to be up there [with our best performance of the season]," Harvey smiled.

"Leeds are up there in the table so it was always going to be tough.

"We set up well and combatted what they were going to do.

"We showed what we're about.

"We knew we had to put in a big performance, not just for ourselves but for the fans and the staff.

"We had to turn things around.

"This was a great game to do it in."

It was Barnes' third that arguably put the game beyond doubt - his first strike since Reading in October.

He added: "I was happy to chip in - it's been a few weeks!

"It was nice to get back on the scoresheet.

"You look at some of our attacking play here - getting in behind, going more direct.

"We caused them a lot of problems."
