Moulding young leaders through grassroots football

THE Albion Foundation is growing its own coaches through grassroots football, with Jack Robinson a shining example of a young leader.

Having volunteered with the Foundation for four years, the 13-year-old now supports sessions on a Saturday morning for 3-7 year olds.

Helping to structure sessions and offering one-to-one coaching, the work done on the pitch has also benefited the youngster academically.

"Becoming a coach has also helped me in the classroom - I'm more talkative and less quiet," said Jack.

"I get different things out of coaching, like talking to children and learning different skills."
