Pardew’s message in award-winning programme

ALAN Pardew goes into Saturday’s key Premier League clash against Brighton with an impassioned "call to arms” to Baggies fans leading our award-winning Albion News programme.

Once again, the Club's acclaimed matchday magazine has been named as one of the top programmes in the country after finishing runners-up in the annual awards issued by standard-bearers Programme Monthly.

“An excellent read, cover to cover,” said the judges, “It is different from most programmes ...imaginative, unique and unorthodox design.”

And nothing will be more important for The Hawthorns faithful than the stirring words of our Head Coach as we begin the first of a series of home tests which are the key to the Baggies pulling this season around.

"Our home games will be crucial in determining how the season ends for us. Today represents the first of many opportunities we will have at The Hawthorns to win the points we need,” writes Alan.

"I call upon all of you at the stadium to generate the same kind of positivity that there was around the Arsenal game. For many people, today is a different scenario because the expectation levels against Arsenal were naturally lower.

"But right through that game, even when things weren’t going our way, you were with us, encouraging us, helping us, not putting pressure on the players.

"You play a bigger part in results than perhaps you think. And if you think I’m pleading with you – yes I am!"

Alan’s exclusive column in the “Albion News” matchday programme is just one of the features to help get you in the mood for the Brighton clash. Make sure you get your copy at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
