Mixed emotions for J-Rod

GOALSCORER Jay Rodriguez says he doesn't know whether to be disappointed or delighted with Albion's 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.

Rodriguez fired Alan Pardew's men into an early lead on Merseyside to become Albion's leading scorer this season, before Oumar Niasse responded with 20 minutes left to play.

And the Baggies frontman didn't know quite how to react to the stalemate.

"The general mood is that we're disappointed but, in the same breath, it's a good point away from home," he said. "We're obviously disappointed not to get the win, but I think you'd take a point away from home at Everton.

"We wanted to take the game to them early. It was a great piece of play, Grzegorz put me through and it was a great start for us. It was a shame we went in only 1-0 up because you know Everton are always going to come back strong.

"To be unbeaten [in the last three games] is a really important thing, it's just getting the consecutive wins now. We can only carry on working as we are and it'll come."
