Triple delight for loanee Ross

ETHAN Ross saved a penalty, kept a clean sheet and received the man of the match award for Redditch United on Saturday.

The goalkeeper starred as the Reds beat Basingstoke 3-0 in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division.

In the same league Dara O’Shea also kept a clean sheet as he started in Hereford’s table-topping 4-0 victory over Dunstable.

In SkyBet League One it was a successful weekend on a personal level for Jack Fitzwater as well, as he completed 90 minutes for Walsall in their goalless draw with Gillingham.

Kane Wilson played the full match and Kyle Edwards came on as a substitute in the 69th minute for Exeter City in SkyBet League Two as they lost 1-0 at home to Mansfield Town.

Also in League Two defender Kyle Howkins made his first start for Port Vale as they were defeated 3-2 at Swindon Town.

Elsewhere Max Melbourne and Tahvon Campbell were both unused substitutes for Ross County and Forest Green Rovers respectively.
