ALBION can confirm that a work permit for Egypt international Ali Gabr has now been secured.
The 29-year-old defender has joined Alan Pardew and the first-team squad currently training at the second-team HQ of La Liga club Espanyol.
The permit means that Ali is now available for selection and a possible Baggies debut in Saturday’s FA Cup fifth-round tie against Southampton at The Hawthorns.
