Disability Department give back

THE Albion Foundation’s Disability Department have been spreading the joy at a local school by holding a Give Back Day.

Rowley Hall Primary School pupils were in for a treat as they played lots of sports activities with the charity's coaches.

Boccia, curling, benchball and dodgeball were all on the agenda, as the Foundation staff provided an exciting day for the children.

A Learning Support Practitioner at Rowley Primary School, Sally Sherwood spoke of the kids' excitement to be taught by the coaches.

“We have been doing activities based on special educational needs children,” said Sally.

“The kids are very excited and they get very excited every Friday because they know that The Albion Foundation coaches come in and do a morning session with them.

“The coaches are brilliant, and the kids love them. They are fantastic."

Kai Slater took part in the session and enjoyed the change of scenery.

“The coaches play a bunch of different games which is really good," said Kai.

"It’s nice and different from the classroom.”
