Albion v Southampton match preview

ALBION host Southampton on Saturday as they look to progress through to the quarter finals of the FA Cup.

The opposition

Southampton are currently sat 18th in the Premier League table after a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool last weekend.

They advanced through to this stage of the FA Cup after beating Fulham 1-0 in the third round and then overcoming Watford by the same scoreline in the fourth round.

The Saints haven’t got to the last eight of the competition since the 2004/05 season.

Last time out

Our last game against Mauricio Pellegrino's side was at the start of the month when they ran out 3-2 winners at The Hawthorns.

Albion’s last triumph on home soil against the Saints was a 1-0 victory back in February 2015.
