Update on injured trio

HAL Robson-Kanu has been given a 50/50 chance of being fit for the derby against Aston Villa, with Darren Moore also del a progress report on Kyle Bartley and Bakary Sako.

The Baggies striker suffered a knee injury against Brentford on Monday which eventually forced him out of the match at half time.

Head Coach Darren Moore says the player will be assessed over the next 24 hours before a decision is made as to whether or not he will be in contention against Villa.

Defender Kyle Bartley is Albion's only other casualty and while the Villa game will come too soon for him, Darren suggests he will be ready for the on-rush of fixtures during the festive programme.

"He's back in training and following his 'rehab' programme which we are very happy with," said Darren.

"But you let the experts tell you when he is ready for full contact training and he has to be right for that. I don't think he is too far away now though."

Forward Bakary Sako, having suffered a minor problem before the recent Ipswich game, is now fully fit again and in contention for selection.
