Man City U18s 3 Albion U18s 3

ALBION's youngsters drew 3-3 away at Manchester City in an U18 Premier League North clash on Saturday

City took the lead inside seven minutes through Lewis Florini’s close-range finish, but the Baggies responded in emphatic fashion as, almost instantly, Morgan Rogers slotted home an equaliser.

A string of great saves from Josh Griffiths kept City at bay midway through the first-half before Rogers then fired Albion in front just before the break.

With 74 minutes on the clock Mike Scott’s side looked to have put the game beyond their hosts as Finn Azaz converted from Taylor Gardner-Hickman’s free-kick.

City came roaring back late on, though, with goals from Ben Knight and Keke Simmonds ensuring the points were to be shared from the six-goal contest.

ALBION: Griffiths, Gardner-Hickman, Harmon, Taylor (King 82), Sharpe (c), Delaney, Barry (Ojebode 71), Brown (Wakeling 87), Soule, Azaz, Rogers.

Substitutes: Cann, Asomugha.
