Darren upbeat despite agonising finish

DARREN Moore remained positive after his side’s “dominant” display in spite of Brentford’s late leveller at The Hawthorns.

The Baggies were made to rue a series of missed chances as Lewis Macleod's added-time header cancelled out Harvey Barnes' eighth goal of the campaign.

Darren said: "The performance was there tonight - we were dominant.

"Everybody has seen the performance we've put in tonight.

"34 crosses, 23 attempts on goal; it was a dominant display in both halves.

"When it's one-nil it only takes a second to score a goal and we've seen that in the 90th-minute.

"You won't get me saying I'm disappointed because I'm more pleased with the performance.

"With performances like that this season we'll win more than we lose or draw.

"Brentford defended well and got bodies behind the ball in the second-half.

"We've got to learn to overcome those hurdles.

"We won't cry over spilt milk but we should have scored enough goals to win the game.

"Now we move our attention to Friday night."
