Darren reveals half-time message

DARREN Moore delivered a dressing-room message of “dig deep and go and get it” in an effort to spur his side on to victory at Bramall Lane.

David McGoldrick fired the hosts into an early lead before goals from Gareth Barry and Kieran Gibbs completed the turnaround and saw Darren's men leapfrog Sheffield United into third place in the Sky Bet Championship.

By the gaffer's own admission, his side were second best in a "difficult start" but a rallying cry and a tactical change led the Baggies to a priceless three points.

"They put us on the back foot but after 25 minutes we grew into the game," he said.

"I felt we got to the pace of the game and Gareth's goal was a turning point.

"We said to the players at half-time 'this is one of those games where you're going to have to dig deep and go and get it if you want the three points'.

"The momentum they carried into the second half was brilliant.

"We made a tactical change to stop them from switching the play on us.

"Once we stopped and nullified that we managed to get a foothold and managed to create chances.

"We got stronger as the game went on and gaps started to appear.

"It was a fantastic finish from Gibbo to get us the victory."
