Baggies boast clean bill of health

ALBION will start the festive fixture schedule with a full complement - and Darren Moore says he is going to need them.

This week's training has seen Kyle Bartley, James Morrison and Hal Robson-Kanu back in the thick of the preparations for a schedule which begins with Saturday's trip to Rotherham and then packs in games against Wigan, Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn Rovers.

The FA Cup tie against Wigan makes the total five games in just 15 days and it's a relief for Darren that all his squad are available at the start of the sequence.

Bartley has been out the longest with a knee problem - he has missed seven games - but it will also be a boost to have the midfielder and striker back in his numbers after shorter absences.

"All fine, all fit, all back in full-contact training," said Moore. "It's great for them, all three are quality players and all three are important players for us here at West Brom.

"All three are fit, available and all three are in the squad.

"In total we've got 20-odd pros at the club. You've got to keep them all fit, ready.

"It's important the seven or eight that are outside the starting XI get topped up with training.

"We've been doing that, because if they're asked to step in over this period you want them to step in and physically cope with the demands of the league.

"It's another aspect we've got to look at, in keeping them all fit and sharp.

"We're training on Christmas Day, that won't change. I was in Christmas Day as a player, the boys will be in as normal. Hopefully we'll get some of that turkey off them!"
