‘Hopefully that’s just the start’ - Brunt

CHRIS Brunt says free-scoring Albion have the quality required to succeed in the Sky Bet Championship this season.

The Baggies are the league’s highest scorers having netted 13 goals in the first four games of the campaign - seven of which came in today’s triumph over Queens Park Rangers.

And the skipper points to a successful transfer window as the reason behind Darren Moore’s men firing on all cylinders.

“We’ve done well this season in the transfer window to hold on to our attacking players. We’ve also brought in Dwight Gayle and Harvey Barnes and we’ve seen immediately how of an impact they can have.

“To get out of this league you need to score a lot of goals and we’ve certainly done that the last couple of games.

“Hopefully over the next couple of weeks, with no mid-week game this week, we can work on a few things in training.

“We’ve got a good squad of players that are capable of doing well this year - of doing really well - so hopefully that’s just the start of it."
