'The squad is looking good' - Mooro

DARREN Moore says his team is in good shape ahead of Saturday’s trip up to face Newcastle United.

“We’ve spoken in previous weeks about Daniel Sturridge gaining better fitness and Nacer Chadli getting stronger and fitter so the squad is looking really good,” said Darren.

“I have a lot to choose from so we’re grateful that we’ve got more bodies fit and more bodies available, and a chance for myself to choose a team whichever way we see fit for the game.

“I say every week that, despite the good recent run of results, the squad is available for different selections from week to week and it’s whatever we feel fit to go with as a coaching staff.

Darren confirmed that Chadli remains fit for selection and that James Morrison is unlikely to feature again this season.

But the Baggies boss also said on-loan Liverpool striker Sturridge, who made his return from injury in the win against Manchester United at Old Trafford, is ready and available for selection.

“Daniel is fit to start, should the manager decide so,” added Moore.

“He’s looked very, very good in training. Again, sometimes I don’t like to talk about individuals because it’s a team game but I’ve had the beauty of seeing him in training and he looks very good at present.”
