Palmer up for PL2 award

ALEX Palmer has been nominated for March's Premier League 2 Player of the Month award.

The young goalkeeper - named as a substitute for Albion's Premier League draw at Leicester City in October - was selected by a panel of the PL Football Development Department after PL2 managers had nominated the best individual performance from each of their opponents last month.

The 21-year-old played three times for James Shan's side in March and put in an impressive display against local rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers at Palm Training Ground last time out.

Alex will be up against Antony Evans (Everton), Harvey Barnes (Leicester City), Thomas Edwards (Stoke City) and Jordon Garrick (Swansea City).
