Mozza on Brighton, Brunty and the Baggies

JAMES Morrison sat down on Friday to talk about Albion's impressive start to the season, the upcoming trip to Brighton and ten years at The Hawthorns with Chris Brunt.

Morrison made his return to action in the Carabao Cup second round victory at Accrington Stanley last month before making his first Premier League start of the season against Stoke City later that same week.

The midfielder is relishing a trip to Brighton and Hove Albion as the next challenge in the Baggies' start to the 2017/18 campaign.

"We're on a good run so we'll be going into the next games full of confidence.

"But we're expecting a big challenge.

"When you go to a newly promoted team you expect a high-tempo game. The crowd are always up for it.

"We'll have to be ready from the first whistle and I'm sure we will be."

It's been close to 25 years since Albion last faced the Seagulls - a period that makes Mozza's time at the Baggies look like a blink of an eye.

It's just the ten years for James at The Hawthorns, the vast majority of which has been spent with Chris Brunt. And the No. 7 was full of praise for his old pal 'grumpy Chris'.

"Brunty and I spend a lot of time together and we've become good friends.

"We go way back and have been through thick and thin together.

"He's not changed over the years. He still moans - old grumpy Chris!

"Brunty is a great player. He's been a great servant to the club and he's a credit to himself.

"There's no better man to spend ten years with."
