BOTH Jonathan Leko and Rekeem Harper earned high praise on Tuesday evening as they made their full debuts for their respective loan clubs.
Jonathan played just under 70 minutes for Bristol City in their 3-3 draw with Wolves in the SkyBet Championship, with Robins assistant coach Jamie McAllister paying tribute to the winger after the game.
“He’s a real threat in the final third and he caused their defenders real problems,” he said.
“He’s strong, he’s got great feet. Chopping one way and going the other.”
Meanwhile Rekeem, who is currently under the guidance of former Albion boss Tony Mowbray at Blackburn Rovers, also impressed as his side beat Scunthorpe 1-0 in SkyBet League One.
The midfielder completed 45 minutes in the win that saw the Lancashire team move up to 10th in the table, coming off at half time after complaining off a tight groin.
“His natural athleticism that we have seen in training and the distance he can cover is quite frightening,” said Mowbray.
Elsewhere Tyler Roberts played 90 minutes and Shaun Donellan played just over half an hour as Walsall lost 5-1 at Rotherham in League One.
And in the National League Tahvon Campbell was on the pitch for 63 minutes during Solihull Moors’ 2-1 loss at Working.
Finally, Dara O’Shea was part of the Hereford side that beat Stratford Town 5-2 in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division, whilst goalkeeper Ethan Ross also played for Redditch United as they overcame Banbury United 3-1 in the same division.
