Kit sale to benefit former star’s charity

GRAB yourself a bargain before Saturday’s clash with Watford and help a fans’ favourite with his pioneering charity project at the very same time.

Albion kit from previous seasons will go on sale at bargain basement prices ahead of Saturday’s game - with all profits going to The Jonas Olsson Foundation.

The kit will be available to purchase in the WBA FC Community Sports Hall - adjacent to the Club’s Academy building - on Halfords Lane from 12noon on Saturday.

Items will be available from just £2.

Olsson has been assisting the children at Bapu School - in one of New Delhi’s poorest slums - since meeting them during a Club visit to India’s capital in May 2016.

And the former Sweden international defender is appreciative of the Club’s ongoing support.

“I can’t thank the club enough, really. They have been very supportive of the work I have been doing in India since I left earlier this year,” said Olsson.

“The fans have also been incredibly generous and the kit amnesty we did earlier in the year was a huge success. I’m hoping to take all of their donations out to India later this year.

“This is an opportunity for fans to purchase kit and help out children who are really struggling in a different part of the world. I know Albion fans will want to help if they can.”
