Pulis post Southampton

TONY Pulis was left disappointed with Albion's defeat at Southampton and said his side should have offered more going forward.

The Baggies were undone on the south coast by a stunning solo effort from Sofiane Boufal. But Pulis thought more could have been done to stop the Morocco international in his tracks.

"People will say it's a great goal but he's gone past four or five players.

"At least two of them should have done better."

And the Albion Head Coach dwelled on Jay Rodriguez's missed opportunity on his return to his former employers.

"I thought they penned us in for the first half. They're a good side, Southampton.

"They've got some very good players and I didn't think we offered too much of a threat going forward.

"We looked better with two upfront and you'd expect Jay to score his chance.

"I think if we score then we go on to win the game."
