Foster backs Non-League Day

ALBION fans can still get their football fix this weekend with a host of local clubs celebrating Non-League Day.

Find your nearest fixture on the Non-League Day website

Non-League Day, which is backed by the Premier League, was established in 2010 in an effort to increase attendances.

The day coincides with an international break which means there will no Premier League or SkyBet Championship fixtures this weekend.

And Ben Foster, who played for Midland Football League side Racing Club Warwick as a teenager, has thrown his support behind the campaign.

“Non-league football is really good fun.

“The other weekend I went to watch Racing Club Warwick which is the club I used to play for.

“They won 7-1, it was pretty convincing.

“It was good to watch and to go back there.

“Non-league football definitely improved me as a player, not only that but at the time I was working a job as well and you kind of realise how good a job football is really.”
