BAGGIES boss Tony Pulis is delighted to have Oli Burke back in the squad for tomorrow's clash with Chelsea at The Hawthorns (ko 3pm).
Burke has struggled with a recurring hamstring injury since his move from Red Bull Leipzig in August, making just two first-team appearances in the opening stages of the Premier League campaign.
But the Scotland international has recently gained valuable minutes on the pitch for the Premier League 2 side, starting consecutive games against Sheffield United and Coventry City in November.
And Pulis, addressing the media in his pre-match press conference, confirmed that the Scotland international is now back in contention for first-team action.
"Oli will definitely be involved in the group whether he starts or come off the bench.
"We're pleased to have him back."
But Albion are wary of pushing the youngster too hard too soon on his return to action.
"The thing with Oli is making sure that we don't throw him in and he gets injured again," warned Pulis.
"It's important that we get him to a level where he can play. If we put him on the bench he'll come on and have time.
"With the pace of the game today and the rigours that these players are put through, you've got to make sure they're one hundred per cent fit."
