Mooro: 'We wont rest on our laurels'

Big Dave wants 50 Premier League points

DARREN Moore has said Albion's first-team squad will not let up in their quest for a record Premier League points tally.

The Baggies legend highlighted the professionalism in the Albion ranks as well as Tony Pulis' desire to reach the 50-point mark.

"We won't rest on our laurels. There's still 11 games to go and 33 points to play for.

"This squad just keeps going. They're professionals and the gaffer certainly won't let them take their feet off the gas.

"The first target was 40 points and it's great for the Club to be in this position at this stage of the season. But the onus is on us now to keep on pushing.

"Everyone involved wants to break the 50-point barrier."

And having played until the age of 38 himself, Mooro reserved special comment for Gareth McAuley who has played every minute of Albion's Premier League campaign so far.

"I've got a lot of admiration for G-Mac.

"To still be playing in the Premier League at 37 is phenomenal. We shouldn't forget that he trains every day and still plays international football.

"He's in pristine condition and is an absolute credit to himself."
