ALBION NEWS: We’re so pretty, oh so pretty…

God save the Albion, we mean it man

THE Throstles are on the FA Cup trail on Saturday with the visit of Derby County and Albion News is packed with cup content to accompany the occasion.

We’ve got a look back at all the meetings with the Rams in this competition down the ages, a 120 year rivalry that first raged in 1896 and has carried on all the way through to our most recent meeting in 2001.

Tony Brown has selected a Derby XI from his playing days and there are a few stellar reminders in there of just why it was that they won two league titles in four seasons back in the 1970s. The great man also shows there is no end to his versatility by making the sun come up.

We’ve got match action and reports from our six points out of six New Year weekend while both Tony Pulis and skipper Darren Fletcher reflect on a job well done there and look forward to the tough assignment that we face on Saturday.

Matt Phillips faces up to Peter Barnes in our generation game Q&A feature, we look at some prime FA Cup memorabilia from the Albion archives and go back to a third round day when we smashed Leeds United and a soft footed artist called Robert Koren made his debut.

All of this and more in your latest Albion News. Get in quick. You know it makes sense.
