PL Cup defeat for Baggies

ALBION's Premier League 2 side fell to a 1-0 defeat to Huddersfield Town in the PL Cup at Aggborough on Tuesday evening.

In a quiet first period, Tahvon Campbell went closest for the hosts, firing over from the edge of the area.

But after the interval it was the Terriers who broke the deadlock with Sam Warde firing past Jack Rose into the top corner from 25 yards.

Campbell went close again before Albion made a triple substitution as they chased the game.

But the Baggies were unable to find an equaliser and end the evening with four points from four games with Ipswich Town and Liverpool still left to play.

ALBION: Rose, Wilson (Nabi 62), Jones, O'Shea, Melbourne, Leko (Tilt 62), Field (Tulloch 62), Harper, Berkeley-Agyepong, Campbell, Wright.

Subs: Keranovic, Barbir.
