LOAN WATCH: Roberts nets Shrewsbury opener

Six other loanees in action at the weekend

TYLER Roberts opened his Shrewsbury Town account in a 2-1 win over Bury in Sky Bet League One. The Baggies striker rifled home the opening goal from 15 yards as the Shrews eased their relegation fears.

Both Sebastien Pocognoli and Callum McManaman made Championship appearances over the weekend. Pocognoli played 90 minutes of an extraordinary game as Brighton and Hove Albion scored a 97th minute equaliser to draw 3-3 with Brentford. But there were three points for McManaman who played just over half an hour in Sheffield Wednesday's 1-0 win at Wigan Athletic.

In the Vanarama National League, Shan Donnellan put in a man-of-the-match performance as Dagenham and Redbridge moved into second place with a 3-2 win over Chester. The Daggers scored twice in the final ten minutes to maintain their promotion push.

In the National League North, Ethan Ross played 90 minutes and Chay Scrivens five minutes as Worcester City drew 1-1 with Tamworth.

Alex Palmer, meanwhile, was on the losing side as Kidderminster Harriers exited the Buildbase FA Trophy after a 1-0 defeat away to Barrow.
