Filming begins for Albion mini-series

NBC commission four-week feature on the Baggies

MONDAY morning marked the start of filming for an Albion-centric series commissioned by America's NBC TV Network.

Goalhanger Films TV Production Company will be based at both the training ground and The Hawthorns for the next four weeks to present a unique view of West Bromwich Albion in the modern, Premier League era.

The Baggies will be the third club featured in the mini-documentary series after both Crystal Palace and Watford were presented to the booming American soccer audience this season and last.

Narrated by Gary Lineker, and directed by Paul King, the series will air in four, 30-minute episodes commencing weekly from Sunday, March 5.

And producer Tony Pastor has already highlighted his excitement at getting the project started.

"We are really looking forward to this venture with West Bromwich Albion," he said.

"It's an exciting time to be at the club and we can already tell after one day of filming that we have a special series in the making."
